2. Content & Accuracy
We provide classic works that are in the public domain. While we strive for the highest accuracy in our formatting and text, we provide these files "as-is." Printable Classics is not liable for typographical errors, missing pages, or OCR inaccuracies within the source texts.
Note: We strongly encourage you to download and review the free PDF version of any book to verify its content before placing a professional print order.
3. Intellectual Property
The text of the books is in the public domain. However, the specific layout, digital reformatting, cover designs, and decorative elements created by Printable Classics are our property. You may print these for personal use or education, but resale of our digital PDF files or commercial distribution of our specific formatted editions is strictly prohibited.
4. Print-on-Demand & Refunds
Physical books ordered through our site are custom-printed at the time of purchase. Because these are bespoke items:
- All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for "change of mind."
- Printing Defects: If your book arrives with a manufacturing defect (e.g., misbound, damaged cover, ink smears), you are entitled to a replacement.
- Claims: Contact support@printableclassics.com within 14 days of delivery with photos of the defect to initiate a replacement.
5. Home Printing & DIY Binding
We provide guides and instructions for users who wish to print and bind their own books at home. These guides are for informational purposes only.
Assumption of Risk: Home binding often involves the use of sharp tools (paper cutters, awls, needles), adhesives, and heavy equipment. By following our guides, you acknowledge that:
- Printable Classics is not responsible for any personal injury sustained during the DIY process.
- We are not liable for damage to your personal property, including but not limited to home printers, computers, or binding tools.
- Success in DIY binding depends on individual skill and equipment; we do not guarantee a specific result for home-printed books.
6. Limitation of Liability
Printable Classics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our digital files, physical products, or instructional guides.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ohio. All legal claims must be brought against Encomium LLC.
